Kind Words

Kind Words (Testimonials)

As teachers we never expect anything from our students except to give their best effort.  However, from time to time we do hear from our students and those we are helping.  I am always humbled by their kind words….

"...best of the best."

For all my moms and dads out there who’d like to introduce their littles to coding – Mr. Fred is the best of the best (and a damned awesome person to boot)!!

"Creating excitement"

It’s summer of 2008, and here is this wild and energetic college professor getting everyone on their feet in the gymnasium. It’s not gym class or health, its our orientation – and this guy really cares about our success. That’s my first memory of Fred. Throughout my college career, Mr. Aebli has not only shared his vast knowledge of Coding and all things IT, but he has also developed countless successful individuals. Learning from Mr. Aebli is not your tradition “hold on tight and learn lots”. He has a way of captivating his students, and getting them just as excited about the subjects as he is. He has never shied away from helping his students with one on one lessons, and he always made sure that everyone was able to absorb the concept. I can honestly say that I am truly thankful for having had such a great mind and person help me learn, and change my way of thinking in order to be successful for the rest of my life. Summarizing what Mr. Aebli has done for me can be said like this: “You give a poor man a fish and you feed him for a day. You teach him to fish and you give him an occupation that will feed him for a lifetime.” (Chinese proverb.). Mr. Aebli is shaping the minds of the future, and creating the excitement needed to make a career fun.

"Thank you for all of it!!!"

Hi! I wanted to let you know what a great impact you are making on Ian with your coding class. On the ride home today he could not stop talking…Fred wanted to be an astronaut, Fred saw Star Wars, Fred started programming when he was a kid….Ian is often is quiet, he loves books and video games equally and can be super stubborn, but like all kids he has SO MUCH potential. Thank you so much for your patience with him, and for investing in him. You’ve definitely got his attention and that 11-year old brain is trying to figure out not only how to code, but maybe even who he wants to be in this world. Thank you for all of it!

"...engaging, exciting..."

Fred is an educator who cares deeply for the success of his students, both past and present. His classes were always engaging, exciting, and consistently something to look forward to. I can’t imagine Get Me Coding would fall anywhere short of a similar experience.

"...passion for teaching..."

Fred’s passion for teaching and challenging students beyond levels they are even afraid to reach is apparent in his daily dedication to his overarching goal of perfecting today’s skills of tomorrow’s innovators. Fred takes the mundane, often tedious logical processes and converts them into exciting challenges and projects to serve as not only a learning tool but a resource that stands as a strong element of discussion on a resume. Whether you’ve never coded before or you have but just want to formalize your tech skills, Fred starts at the basics for a comprehensive perspective and a thorough grasp on fundamental concepts that you will utilize later in your development courses or individual pursuits. With meaningful course assignments and insightful group projects, he transforms the existing stereotype of software development into a thrilling puzzle that almost makes you forget that logic and reasoning is continuously in the background. Between helping you install a program, finding the most efficient ways to complete a task in a program, or just helping you out with a different assignment or any other issue (academic or personal) you might be having, you can guarantee that Fred will be just as interested in helping you
